February, the Month of Client Appreciation
The month of February is a great time to touch base with clients, co-workers, affiliates and others who have contributed to your success to let them know you appreciate them. After all, where would you be without the people who have contributed to your success? Your clients, in turn, will be thinking about the gifts they will give to the people they love and appreciate.
Following is a letter you can send to your clients, along with a link to download an 8-page Love Letters for ValentineвАЩs Day booklet. If you like, you can replace the personal message at the bottom of your letter with your own. Your clients will appreciate the gift and the fact that you remembered them on this special day.
February is right around the corner and immediately images of red and white hearts come to mind. As a child most of us can remember scribbling messages on a вАЬRoses are red, violets are blueвА¶вАЭ valentine and picking the prettiest one for that very special person.
As we entered our teens, the paper valentines were replaced with small boxes of chocolates in a red heart-shaped box, and the boxes grew larger as our allowance was increased. We did this to tell friends and family members that we loved them on VALENTINEвАЩS DAY.
Older now, we still search for the right gifts to bestow on the special people in our lives on that special day. However, the best heart-felt gifts we can give wonвАЩt cost a dime and they easy to produce. TheyвАЩre called вАШLegacy Letters.вАЭ
Legacy Letters were initiated during biblical times and have stood the test of time. They can be written to anyone you love and/or appreciateвА¶ family members, friends, co-workers, a kind neighbor, pastor or teacher. The list is endless.
Many people think of legacy letters as something the recipient receives upon our death, but that doesnвАЩt have to be the case. Instead, legacy letters can be given on any special occasion. Of course, for our purpose weвАЩll focus on ValentineвАЩs Day.
So what can be included in the legacy letter? Here are a few suggestions:
- Why is this person special to you?
- Values and Beliefs. What are your core beliefs and what are some of the things you value in life.
- Important Events. These can be events that are going to occur or those that have already occurred.
- Lessons Learned. Share an experience you have had and the lesson you have learned from it.
Additional topics include:
- Stories and Memories.
- Family History.
- Hope and Dreams.

Once youвАЩve written your letters, roll them up like a scroll and tie them with a pretty red ribbon, then deliver them to the recipients. Watch their faces light up as they read your personal message. This is a gift they will treasure for a lifetime and shared for generations to come.
Remember, your legacy is more than the assets you have acquired; it is the life you have lived. Share your life stories, values and family history with those you love.
I hope you enjoy this special ValentineвАЩs Day gift. We appreciate your friendship and your business. We look forward to working with you in 2016.
